Well, Joral’s decided to start his “Word of the Day” feature, and has even been so kind as to give me a degree of credit for the title (of course, we all know it’s a quote from The Princess Bride), but so far he hasn’t seen fit to actually bring up a particular word. So I’m going to scoop him, and beat him to his own punch with my own first installment in “Words, words, words”: Procrastination.

The latest news in the “McMissile” case is that Jessica Hall has been sentenced to two years in prison for throwing a cup of ice at another car on I-95 in Virginia. Jessica Hall is joined by talking heads and even her victim in proclaiming that the sentence is “disproportionate”. Let’s examine this a little better, shall we?

I know, I know, everyone’s complaining about eHarmony these days. With all those ads, they’ve become an exceptionally pervasive force these days. I’m sure everyone can answer this one: How does eHarmony match people? Say it with me, class: Twen-ty-nine-di-men-sions! Gotta love those twenty-nine dimensions of compatibility, doncha? They ensure you’ve found you a soulmate!
Normally, I don’t object to most ads, even most of eHarmony’s saccahrine-laden tripe. What I do object to, however, are ads that include little more than thinly-veiled attacks against a particular company’s detractors.
